March 6, Capital Roots, Troy, NY

Attend a Farm to Institution Market Readiness workshop for farmers to learn best practices for selling to schools, hospitals, child care centers and other institutions. Tour Capital Roots, a food hub in the Capital Region and visit an institution providing local food to children in their care. Stick around after the workshop for a free farmer-buyer mixer to network with other producers and institutional buyers from 3 to 6.

Northeast Farm to School Institute

The deadline is quickly approaching for the 2017 Northeast Farm to School Institute! This is a unique year-long professional learning opportunity organized by VT FEED and the National Farm to School Network for 12 school teams from New England and New York. The year-long Institute kicks off with a Summer Retreat held at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, VT from June 27-29, 2017. Applications are due March 9th and are open to New York school districts!
